“ Charming little bar close to where we're staying. Literally next door. They have huge 40cm pizzas that looked great, although we ordered different as we'd ate pizza a few nights before Seems to be alot of the locals go here for a beer and the sport on TV Cold beers, good friendly atmosphere and the food we did order was very good and tasty I wouldn't hesitate to go back and try some different dishes ”

“ We discovered this location three days ago walking from Playa Avellanas... about 45 minutes on foot, 10 minutes in a car. We have now eaten here twice because the Casado plates call to us. The menu is large & very diverse. There is something for everyone here even the most picky of eaters will be happy with the food selection. The atmosphere is exactly the Pura Vida way Two plates of food & four beers will cost you about $25-$30 in equivalents to USD Food tax & tip included in the prices listed on menu If you’re in the Playa Negra area, or even close by in Avellanas we HiGHLY recommend stopping here for icy cold imperials, delicious food, & the company of the owner Willie who is so hospitable! We will without a doubt be back in ”

“ 10 days ago we stopped on the way from the airport as the kids had been hungry and oh my word. What a gem of a place! The atmosphere is perfect, the staff great and the food is next level. You can even watch them make the pizza in the wood fired Stove ”

“ Nice variety but I come for the Pizza. Erwin on the pizza oven is great!! My favorite so far is the Caprese. I always order it well done and it’s great. A little chili oil and BAM!! It’s complete. Plus you can have ice cream after. ”

“ This place does serve a wide variety of dishes from pizza to Casados to steaks. This was our first time here since it became an indoor place. The AC wasn’t cold, but it does keep most of the bugs away. The decor was pretty local, but clean. Service was friendly but quite slow. We tried several dishes and they were acceptable. The lilikoi (passion fruit) chicken was interesting but the breast itself was over cooked. The best dish was its yucca side dish. It was superb and this is coming from someone who isn’t a big fan of yuccas. ”

“ No frills bar and restaurant with a wide selection of dishes. The most reasonably priced restaurant near Playa Negra with consistently good food. Brick Oven Pizzas are large and delicious. Crispy. Good sauce and cheese. I also really like the Dorado Al Ajillo (Garlic Mahi) served as a casado. Large Margarita Pizza runs $19 after tax and tip. Casados are generally between. $11-$14. They also have TVs with ESPN in case you’re looking to watch a game. ”

“ EXCELLENT PLACE for pizza or anything Italian! Clean, modern, AC, bright — great menu. The first guy who greeted us was fantastic — friendly, polite and attentive. The guy who waited on us was super cranky (wore glasses, may have been the bartender) — he didn’t really speak, at best he “grunted” out what I thought was a response. Maybe a bad day for him but it prevented me from giving ALL 5 STARS. FOOD WAS FANTASTIC! We had Chicken Pesto pasta and Del Mar White pasta — that came with a ton of fresh seafood, including a whole crab. The pizzas that kept going past us looked fantastic — NEXT TIME!!! ”
